BoothStar was recently contacted by a leading London agency to help develop a photo mechanic for a Molton Brown event. In addition to creating a branded image, Molton Brown wanted the invited guests (all influential bloggers and journalists) to be able to share their photographs on social platforms.

Creating unique, shareable content lies at the heart of any photo booth being used to assist existing marketing efforts. Molton Brown wanted something that not only reflected the look of their new range, Lily of the Valley, but also something that would ‘stand-out’ on Instagram. As a result, it was decided that an animated GIF photo booth would be used.

After guests had 4 photographs taken in an open-air photo booth, the images were automatically turned into an animated GIF file as well as a 6×4” layout. A little technical wizardry than allowed guests to upload their GIFs to social media channels that would automatically ‘play’ when displayed on a news-feed or wall.
